How do I enable RecoMelon App Embeds in my Shopify theme?

Why App Embeds are required

RecoMelon uses Shopify App Embeds for reliable storefront integration. If embeds are off, recommendation blocks may not render even if the app is installed.

Enable App Embeds

1. Go to Shopify admin.
2. Navigate to Online Store > Themes.
3. Click Customize on active theme.
4. Open App Embeds.
5. Toggle RecoMelon on.
6. Click Save.

What you should see: RecoMelon appears as active in embed settings.

Post-enable validation

• Check a live PDP where RecoMelon block is placed.
• Validate module visibility in incognito.
• Confirm no stale cache artifacts.

If embeds still do not work

• Ensure you edited the published theme, not a duplicate draft.
• Re-open the editor and verify toggles persisted after save.
• Re-test after cache clear.
